Hey y’all, Anna here! I just got back from spending a few days in Seneca, SC for a family vacation and I thought I’d share it with y’all! My boyfriend Thomas and I went up to meet the rest of my large family at a house on Lake Keowee on Saturday and stayed until Tuesday. Now I’ve had my fair share of ‘Lake Life’ experiences due to growing up fifteen minutes away from one but this was my first time seeing a natural mountain lake. Upon arrival I quickly realized I’ve been missing out! Lake Keowee is gorgeous!! If you haven’t been there I highly recommend it! We spent our first day there just relaxing and spending quality time with family. Sunday was pretty much the same as Saturday, we went swimming right off our dock and we kayaked to an island that was super close to the place we were staying. I also paddleboarded for the first time and discovered how much I love it (seriously so fun)! Thomas and I cooked dinner for the family that night (which was delicious if I do say so myself) and after dinner we hung out and watched movies. Monday was once again spent just hanging out (kinda boring.. I know). We played a family round of Spike Ball and a few games of Can Jam, we ate dinner, and then my sisters and I played a game called Speak Out (super fun and so hilarious! 10 out of 10 would recommend!). On Tuesday we took the boat out to a waterfall and did some exploring (where I gained a minor injury and I swear I almost died… jk kinda) before we packed up to head home. This trip was exactly what I needed and while it was short-lived it was well worth it! Here are some pictures from the trip (but trust me, the pictures don’t do it justice). Enjoy!
Until next time,
