After last month’s disastrous bags for the both of us, we were pretty relieved when we caught word that we were potentially going to love our bags this month. 1. theBalm Cosmetics theBalm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha– This is the first time I’ve received a product from theBalm in an Ipsy bag so I was conflicted when I found out I was getting this one. I’ve always wanted to try theBalm cosmetics products but the sample sizes are so small that they’re almost impossible to use. However I do love the color of this eyeshadow (shimmery champagne gold… right up my alley), the formula is very creamy, and it’s extremely pigmented! So I understand what the hype is about but I’ve gotta say… these samples are not the best. I do recommend trying this product though! It’s perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes!

2. Yadah Silky Fit Concealer BB in Light Beige– I don’t know about y’all but I have never heard of a “Concealer BB.” It seems to be a concealer and BB cream all in one which has me feelin’ some type of way. I prefer my concealers to be full coverage with a mostly matte finish so I don’t think I’ll be reaching for this product very often. When I swatched this product the coverage was pretty light so this would be good for a “no makeup” makeup look.

3. sundays Nail Polish in No. 28– This very well good be my new favorite nail polish for fall and winter! This cool gray-ish purple color is swoon-worthy and perfect for the cooler weather! I’m obsessing over this color!! The formula is decent and I’m interested to see how long wearing it is but so far so good! I only had to apply two coats and the application was very smooth! But did I mention the color?!

4. Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara– I unfortunately haven’t been able to try out this mascara yet but the reviews I’ve read say that this is perfect for lengthening the lashes! I’m the type of girl that needs length and volume for my lashes so this mascara might not be the perfect fit for me but I will keep y’all updated! Who knows, this might be my next go-to mascara!

5. Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask– I’m just gonna come right out and say that I already really like this mask! I tried it right before sitting down to write this post and after washing it off my skin felt very soft and refreshed! We’ll see how it helps my skin in the long run (it’s recommended that you use this 3 times a week) but so far I’m liking the results! The initial application was a little scary when parts of my face started to tingle but the feeling went away after about a minute and then it felt fine. I highly recommend this to people that struggle with acne and clogged pores!

1. First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay: I can honestly say I usually get pretty excited when I see that I am receiving a First Aid Beauty product in my bag. This brand is stellar when it comes to skin care. I’ve only tested it out it out once but love it so far. It did a great job of getting in there and deeply cleaning. My skin felt great!

2. Glamour Dolls Romantic Rose Blending Brush: As always, my favorite part of getting my Ipsy bags every month is the potential of getting makeup brushes. I am a firm believe that you can NEVER have too many make up brushes (or lip products for that matter). Blending brushes are probably my favorite brush to get because I use them almost every time I do my eye makeup and the more of these I have, the less I have to clean (I don’t know why I am admitting this laziness but it is what it is). This brush is great. I love that is has a dome shape to it as opposed to the top being more flat. This makes getting in the crease a lot easier!

3. Make Up Forever Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara: It is no secret that I love mascara and I love trying new ones out. When I open this mascara up I was very skeptical. The wand is always the biggest deal maker or breaker for me and this one was tiny. I honestly didn’t even want to try this product out. However, for the sake of the blog I decided that I needed to bite the bullet and try it (because honestly it’s not going to do me any harm to just try it). I decided to test it out on my lower lashes and was pleasantly surprised. I love Make Up Forever as a brand so I was happy I ended up liking this mascara but I will go ahead and say that I do have other mascaras I love more for my lower lashes so I can’t guarantee that I will be reaching for this often.

4. Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Taj Mahal: Love the color. Love this brand. And honestly although I’m not a huge fan of getting shadows in my Ipsy bag (mainly because I’m super picky about my eyeshadows) I do genuinely like getting singles that I can put in my Zpalette. So thats always a plus. The color of this shadow in not one I would normally purchase for myself only because I don’t often reach for shimmery shadows and when I do it is usually one that I already have in one of my MANY palettes, but I really like this one. It’s kinda like a chocolate brown with gold shimmery reflects. This will be perfect for a fall smokey eye look!

5. Hikari Cosmetics Shimmer Bronzer: Let me just start out by saying that I have yet to try this product BUT I honestly don’t think I want to. It claims to be a shimmer bronzer on the packaging but just has WAY too much pink in it to pass as a bronzer in my opinny. I just don’t know what I would do with it so I think I might pass it on to a friend that might have less trust issues than I do. The one thing that I think frustrates me the most about this product is that when I was online finding the product to link to this page I came across all of the other shades this bronzer came in and I honestly think I would have been happy with ANY of the other ones. But it’s whatever, that’s the luck of the draw with Ipsy!
