Preping for Fall

Fall is almost here, I repeat FALL IS ALMOST HERE!!!

Like literally one week from today!  And as excited as I am for it to technically be Fall, I just want to leave this little disclaimer here. **It doesn’t start getting cold where I’m from in South Carolina until late October, early November**  With that being said, I’ll just be over here pretending I can actually wear sweaters with out dying a little bit.  So just look the other way if you see me casual sweating in my cute Fall wardrobe!

Now, I’ve never been one of those types of people who change out their closets every season (simply because I’m lazy AF), but the downfall to this is I literally have to stare at all my cute sweaters ALL YEAR LONG.  I hate this because I definitely don’t live in one of those places that I could even remotely get away with wearing a sweater in the summer.  It’s okay though, it honestly just makes the day that I am able to break out my first sweater of the year a little bit more sweet!!  Even better than that I am able to break out some of my Fall colored purses.  Burgundy/Merlot/Garnet/Wine is my favorite fall color so being able to break out this purse just makes me so happy.  I rarely let the color of something stop me from wearing it especially when it comes to purses, but everything about this purse just screams Fall so I usually keep it tucked away until the season is here!

So, because it just simply doesn’t feel like fall is around the corner yet, I have to be a little cautious about what I’m wearing this time of year.  I want to look fall but still feel like I’m wearing Summer clothes (what do you mean I can’t have the best of both worlds?!).  As always, I’ve been sticking to lighter materials and sandals/open toed shoes when I’m wearing jeans/pants.  This linen off the shoulder top (jk… it’s a dress) that I found at Plato’s Closet is the perfect Fall transition piece when you want to break the fashion rules and wear white after Labor day.  Super light and airy, and I love the fact that it is so long because I am able to tie it in the front for a little extra detail.  My jeans are just a pair I picked up from an AE outlet that I’m absolutely obsessed with and my shoes (Lord don’t get me started on these shoes) are by Steve Madden. *Yes these are the wedges that almost every blogger on the planet has and yes they are as comfortable as they look.*  BUY THEM IF YOU DON’T ALREADY OWN THEM (I’ll put the link at the end).  Lastly my purse, I would marry this bag if I could!  I love it that much.  Like I said before I usually keep it tucked away until Fall, which is fine because it makes it a little more exciting when I get to carry it again.  I got it from Kate Spade a year or two ago and unfortunately I don’t believe they make this bag anymore (correct me if I’m wrong please).
