Hey Y’all! I can’t believe 2017 is almost over! I feel like it flew by (I say this every year). But this year was so much fun and so many great things happened like (first and most importantly) Anna and I starting the blog (!!!), as well as all of our summer road trips/vacations, Jared turning 30, one of my best friends had a sweet baby girl, another one of my best friends got married, Anna got into USC, and most recently Jared and I bought a house!! I will always treasure all of this amazing moments that happened this year, but I am also looking forward to all of the great things that will happen in 2018!
This year for New Years Eve, we are heading to a friends house to eat, drink, and celebrate. I love this time of year because you really get to look back and reflect on all the great things that have happened as well as make plans for the future. I have never been one to make resolutions but this year I think I am going to try it out. Since it is my first time setting a New Years resolution I think I am going to start small. For 2018 I would like to cook more. Jared and I tend to cook at home every now and then but more often than we should, we get lazy and end up ordering take out instead. I hate this because usually it winds up being something unhealthy and we also get so tired of eating at the same places over and over again. I have tons of cook books/recipes that I have been wanting to try out plus I love to cook and am fairly decent at it so I feel like now is the perfect time to start whippin’ up some home cooked meals (who knows, maybe I’ll share a few recipes with y’all)!
Now on to my favorite part of New Years Eve, makeup/outfit! So I’m not 100% sure what I am going to wear this year but I usually go with something all black as opposed to something sparkly. I’m currently trying to find something dark and velvet but have yet to have any luck with that (no biggie, I literally only have like two days left to find something to wear). Now, for my makeup I already know the direction I want to go. Last year I kept my eye makeup simple and went with a bold lip but this year I am going to go a bit more dramatic! I decided to go with a bold lip AND a sparkly/dark eye. I love this look that I created and can’t wait to rock it on Sunday!
