Okay so if you didn’t see my reel on Instagram the other day, then you should probably go watch it because it’s a good one! haha! No but really, if you are anything like me and tend to decorate with a more neutral color scheme for Christmas, that reel and this post are for you. I know that Christmas is usually all about the bright reds and greens and as much as I love the traditional aspect of those colors, That is just not me. I am more into neutrals and muted tones, especially when it comes to my home decor. I have been decorating with a neutral color scheme for Christmas for years now but up until recently it was super hard to find the pieces I wanted to complete my neutral Christmas dreams. Like I remember about 6 or 7 years ago I was looking for large white snowflake ornaments to decorate my tree, simple right? NO!! I looked everywhere and couldn’t find anything as simple as what I wanted, It was all brightly colored or covered in crystals and glitter. So I ended up going to Michaels and getting a pack of wooden snowflakes that had adhesives on the back so you could stick them to your walls or something and I spray painted them white and tied some twine on them to be able to hang them on the tree with and I still use those things one my tree to this day. I know I could probably go to Target or TJ Maxx right this second and find three or for different options that are better than what I have but you know what… I kind of like my messy DIY snowflakes. Anyways, my whole point to telling that story that legit nobody asked for was to say that I am so thankful that my neutral Christmas decor options are so broad now (honestly I’m kinda of overwhelmed with all of the options I have now that I have a hard time choosing what I should buy).
One of my favorite stores for well, everything, but mainly for the purpose of this post, for Christmas decor is Target. I know, shocker, right?! Honestly between the Threshold/Studio McGee collab and Wonderland brands, I am in heaven when it comes to Christmas decor. I literally wanted to take home every single Studio McGee piece with me when I went into Target last week to check out the new holiday decor. So with all of that being said, I wanted to get together a little list of some of my favorite things I saw and share them with all of my neutral decor lovers out there.
