So, I don’t know about y’all but for me the toughest thing to dress for on the planet is a Fall wedding. You want to look cute but stay warm at the same time, then throw in the chance of it being a formal wedding and boom, there goes all of the your possible outfit options. But, I’m always up for a challenge, especially when it involves fashion so there’s that. So other than that, I LOVE a Fall wedding. Seriously, Fall weddings are so dreamy. All of the muted colors and perfect scenery. Ugh, to die for. I was fortunate enough to go to a {beautiful} wedding this past Sunday in Landrum, SC. If you are not familiar with this part of the state, Landrum is practically bordering North Carolina which mean’s that this time of year there is nothing but falling leaves and beautiful mountains (not that the mountains aren’t there the rest of the year, they just seem to be WAY more pretty during this time of the year). Not to mention the weather was absolutely perfect, a little chilly but not enough to need to wear a jacket and cover up my outfit (sometimes I would just rather freeze to death than cover up a cute outfit, I know y’all know what I’m saying).
Now, I literally started searching for an outfit the minute I got my invitation for this wedding, simply because I know it was going to be a process (or if you ask my husband, because I apparently have to buy a new outfit for everything I go to). I searched high and low both online and in store but couldn’t find the perfect dress anywhere. Ugh, so frustrating. I seriously gave myself plenty of time to find not only the perfect dress, but also shoes and whatever else I needed. So to come up short handed three days before the wedding, I was aggravated. So just imagine, there I was, sitting on the floor of my closet, frustrated and desperate, when I remembered this cute little lace off-the-shoulder dress I got from Target last year! I can’t even begin to tell you how glad I was to have this dress in my closet. It was perfect and honestly I feel like you can’t go wrong with black lace to a formal/Fall wedding.
